July 1st 2009 TOMS RIVER NJ - The 10u Toms River Little League All Stars won the District 18 Championships by a score of 10-0 over Manchester Township. Toms River swept the series by holding Manchester to 1 run and 1 hit over 2 games, while scoring 21 runs. The team will move on to the Sectional Championships in late July. The team is coached by Scott Ringle and Jim Platten and the players include: Sara Brilliant, Jenna Platten, Aly Vandenberg, Meghan Laggner, Kailyn Ringle, Sophia Puleo, Sam Maglicane, Hailey Gowdy, Gabby Loffredo, Jenna Knabner, and Bailey Sanders.
